One clothier, with your measurements on file.
Dennis Martin is a personal clothier for men whose clothes do not fit, casual to black tie.
Dennis Martin Clothiers is Dennis. He takes the consultation, chooses the cloth with you, reads your measurements, checks the fit when the garment arrives and keeps your Fit Profile for the next piece. There is no call centre, no chatbot and no clothier on shift. The man who measured you is the man who makes the next thing.
He started with suits and he still makes them. But a man's week is not a suit. It is the office and the courtroom, the dinner after, the flight on Thursday, the course on Saturday and the game on Sunday, and he has spent his working life making all of it to measure for men who would rather look right without thinking about it.
The idea behind it is old. The personal attention and the posture sensitive fitting associated with traditional Savile Row tailoring inspired the way he works. What he adds is modern: TrueToForm, the DMC Fit Foundation, contemporary manufacturing and a clothier who answers his own phone. The technology supports Dennis. It does not replace him.
He works from Fairhope, Alabama. Through Blueprint, his virtual process, he works wherever you are.

How Dennis works.
Three things he has held to since the beginning, and one that Blueprint made possible.
-
Service, from one person
You deal with Dennis from the first call to the last fitting. He asks about your work and your weekends, suggests what to make first, and takes the follow up call himself when the garment arrives.
-
Selection, without a shop floor
A store is limited by its rails. Dennis is not. The cloth comes from swatch books he walks you through on the call, and the wardrobe runs from five-pocket pants and casual shirts to sport coats, suits and a tuxedo, with belts and evening shoes chosen to go with it.
-
Satisfaction, before anything else
No second garment is started until the first one is right, remade at his cost if it comes to that. His words: “We will not do a second suit until we get the first one perfect, even if I have to remake it at my cost.”
-
Your measurements, kept
62 measurements from TrueToForm become your Fit Profile. Every garment after the first is made to it, so you are never measured twice and the fit that was proven on you is the fit you get again.
-
Respect the opportunity
His line to the associates he dresses: prepare yourself, so that when opportunity arrives, you are ready. Being dressed for it is part of being ready, and it should take none of your attention.
He still comes to you.
Dennis began by visiting clients at home, in the office and at the club, and he still does. To arrange a visit, email him at dennis@dennismartininc.com or call (251) 278-8270.
Blueprint is the same clothier and the same fit, for the man who is not on his route or would rather not wait for a visit. Either way you are measured once and dressed from the same file.
Start with the thing you are least happy wearing.
Tell Dennis what your week asks of you. He will say what to make first, and in what cloth.
